The New Zealand native and Silicon Valley mainstay designed and built the modestly named Wrightspeed himself. It looks like a Formula 1 racecar and is faster than a Ferrari, but it runs on an electric battery. The impressive X1, which has yet to move into production, has a range of 100 miles per charge — a distance that it would cover at top speed in less than 40 minutes.
